In the process of making a new product, a great deal is learned. Launching a new product with new science often requires training before it is safe to launch. When the helicopter was created, it was not safe to give a fixed wing pilot a handbook and the keys and let them fly away. The same is true with many new products. While they may or may not be dangerous, time and money can be lost if people are not trained. Training is an important part of guiding a product out of the valley of death. Shortcut Logic organizes experts in each field and manages the teaching process.
Areas of Focus:
Design – Training people how to design product improvements allows them to have more input in product evolution, including the adoption of new technologies
Manufacturing - Training people on manufacturing enables new communities to build products, particularly those communities where a product’s use is highest.
MRO - Training people on maintenance, repair and overhaul of a new product is critical to its adoption.
Operations – Training people on how to operate not only the machinery of a product, but the set up and management of operations for a new product whose features and benefits may differ from existing user product lines.
Entrepreneurship – Training people to be entrepreneurs and start a new business with a breakthrough product is often the safest way through the valley of death. This includes training people on how to make a business plan, how to raise funds and how to build and manage relationships across many areas of interest. The latter is often the most valuable asset an entrepreneur has.
Branding - Training people on the basics of branding and how to recruit talent in this area is critical to communicating the values of a new breakthrough. Note – Shortcut Logic does not pretend to be a branding expert, but partners with experts who teach the art and science of communicating the attributes of a breakthrough product.
